I've been sitting here, confused, puzzling over something. I can't believe how some people treat the people they say they love. The ones they say they're going to marry, the ones they DO marry, the ones they say they're completely devoted to. They take the heart that's given to them, they use and abuse it, they break it to pieces, and then still have the nerve to say "I love you". They still have the nerve to be put out, angry, when the person who they've walked all over finally gets up the nerve to leave.

I just... *shakes his head* I'm not perfect. I know that I'm not perfect. I wouldn't ever claim to be. But it hurts me to see people treating each other this way. I'm... going to call my husband and go back to bed now. Goodnight.

I'll pick the kids up, take them for a bite to eat somewhere at the airport, and then we'll come and get you. Sound good? I have everyone's flight itineraries right here with me. Finn can help me with the luggage cart, because I know he'll be eager to prove he's grown up and strong. *chuckles* I can carry Rudy and hold on to Iris at the same time, and I know that Raff will stick right beside Finn and probably try to help push the cart. We'll be good.

I can't wait to see them. I can't wait to see you. This is going to be the best Christmas of my life.

Because all I really want is to be with you, all curled up, with the kids under the Christmas tree. And be there when Iris and Rudy make their cookies for Santa. And eat them with you. *smile*

Aye I know that Thom, but you're not part of the vast majority. You wear your heart out there in the open and you willingly give other people tiny bits of it. You cherish Jude more than you do living. You Thommie are one of the rare ones. That's why so many people genuinely love you and feel the same way.

Sweetheart... for the first time in our lives, we have each other for Christmas. The two of us under one roof, with all of our kids. All of that love in one place, and so many people to give it to, share it with. And I might have a surprise for you, on Christmas day.

Oh, hell, I can't keep it a secret. Dad'll be getting in on Christmas morning with presents for everyone. *grins brightly* It couldn't get better! Gods, I'm so happy, kitten.

Thom, nobody is perfect. Small, sad smile. The human heart is a complicated thing that nobody understands.

For me personally, once it's broken, and you've lost your best friend, the person you think of as a soulmate, there is no way to fix it.

Cherish what you have with Jude. You both are meant for each other and nobody will ever break that apart, I know that in my heart. I love you both.

People can be fucking confusing and mean as hell. I, for one, always mean it when I say I love you to someone. It doesn't make sense any other way. I don't know why people throw the word around nowadays like it's nothing. Or treat someone like shit then have the nerve to say "I love you." I've seen it happen, and it's bullshit. *shrugs*
